Making my Life Easier with Python

A Simple Property Searching Program

It’s been about a month since I started learning Python in my spare time, and it’s been going pretty well actually. I underestimated how much a knowledge in computing can improve your daily life, and Python certainly is the perfect language for automatising your everyday tasks.

I got a little bored recently of having to trawl through property websites in order to find a place to live, something I have had to do three times in three years. So instead I made myself a little program that only asks one question: “Rightmove, Zoopla, or Openrent?” You enter your answer, and bam! There are now ten tabs on the screen each with a possible property.

If you would like to make something like this, or are just interested in some of the skills you will need to create it, give my explanation a read on the link below:

Rock, Paper, Scissors – A Beginner’s Python Program

Everyone has to start somewhere with python, and for me that was with a simple rock, paper, scissors game. It teaches you the basics of inputs, variables, if statements and Boolean values, whilst also giving you practical experience in creating a program that can be used by someone else. On the link below you can access my amateur level tutorial on the program, as well as the program itself.
